A Worrying Trend

Do you ever look through up & coming clothing trends and feel that dread that its just not going to suit you? To be honest I get that every time a new collection is released. It takes me a long time to wait for new styles to mellow out enough to suit my plump frame. I don't mind that in all honesty. Everyone needs to learn how to work fashion to suit themselves and this is how I go about it.
Image taken from Google. I do not own this.
I used to work in nightclubs so could always see the latest looks and see the good & bad ways to wear those looks. Although it did get to the point where everyone looked exactly the same and whilst they all (mostly) looked great I honestly couldn't tell one Topshop Bodycon mini dress wearer from another Topshop Bodycon mini dress wearer.
Not that my curves would ever be caught dead squeezed into a Bodycon, this just an example.
Advice I live & die by: If you don't have a flat stomach, DON'T show it off.

But this is not why I'm writing this post. I have a major worry about the latest trends appearing on the internet. especially the heavily vintage inspired trends which in all honesty I'm in love with!

My concern?

They're ALL high necked!

Dresses all taken from Asos Curves. I do not own these.
Cleavage is most definitely not in fashion. And this is worrying for me and my ample bosom. I'm very proud of my assets and love showing them off! Guess I'm going to have to be extra clever to make sure the girls don't look like a set of squished pillows in those unforgiving high necklines.

  1. I thought this when I was flicking through a magazine in work that weekend past. I hate high necks because I feel like they are suffocating me but also because of my cupsize there is no way high necks are flattering to me :(

  4. I refuse to rock a high neck line. I can't and I won't. I think trends are something that should be taken into consideration but never obeyed. You should wear what your comfortable in and works for you. Like you said, everyone just ends up looking the same and personally I'd rather go against the grain and stand out than be another clone.

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low
