Hello lovelies! So today we have a close up of what is so far my most used item from the
Selfridges festival beauty box and current fave hand cream/sanitiser.
Cowshed Cow Slip describes itself as a natural antibacterial & soothing hand gel. You see the way they put it on the label above. Very direct. I personally would describe it as something I between a cream & a gel. A crel? Ugh that sounds awful whereas this stuff is great!
A little goes a long way & unlike some other antibacterial gels or foams (I have a few including a massive bottle of Cutan I "acquired" during one of my hospital stays.. Shhh) my hands don't feel dry or claggy or even still a wee bit dirty!
Instead they are soft & supple and minty fresh. Given that there are 2 types of mint in here & some orange you could be forgiven if people thought you were a bit heavy on the toothpaste before your breakfast in the morning but I find the strong smell quite satisfying in that I know I am clean after using this. which, given that its being promoted as Festival friendly, is exactly what you want!
If you're wondering why I'm showing off my hands so much in these photos I'll give you
2 reasons.
1. Pretty pretty nail polish... Duh!
2. Before using this I was going through an awful hangnail epidemic only infuriated by use of alcohol based sanitisers in work and after just a few days this stuff had really helped hide the awfulness. These pictures were taken about
2 days in to testing & you can barely see anything. I'm now over
2 weeks in and have no intentions of stopping.
So that's my new favourite everyday hand sanitiser. Do you, like me, have a favourite or a stash?
