A good old fashioned Pajama Party

This morning I woke up in my own bed, I made my own breakfast, and I prepared myself for a Saturday of doing laundry and dishes. It's a far cry from the luxury & glamour of waking up in Belfast's Malone Lodge just a week ago.    As you all know I'm part of an ever expanding group of NI Fashion & Beauty Bloggers called FABB . The lovely people contacted us and invited everyone to come for the evening and have a wee Pajama party complete with pampering, treats and DVDs! Well I was there with bells on and despite only living mere streets away from it's Eglantine Avenue location I also accepted their invitation to stay overnight too. Well who wouldn't really? Upon arrival we were offered Apricot Belinis, shown to our rooms where we found Onesies courtesy of BANK . We then changed in to PJs and headed off for a tour of the hotel, much to the amusement of its other non-blogging guests. The family owned hotel itself is gorgeous and after recent refurb

Bex does Belsonic featuring Urban Outfitters & NYC

Last night was a rare chance to embrace my rock side in the form of   Nine Inch Nails at Belsonic .    I rarely post my outfits but I recently bought this dress in the Urban Outfitters sale for £10! A bargain & I love it. Plus it was light enough and comfy enough to go under my raincoat. We may be the kingdom of the grey in Northern Ireland but we do vary it with clammy heat on the odd occasion.  Make up wise I kept it pretty simple opting for dramatic lips with NYC Ultra Last Lipwear in Blue Rose. Northern Irish Band And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA)  as main support. Have been following these guys since 2008 when I worked filming gigs around Belfast. It's always great to see them doing so well. I get so mesmerised every time I see them I didn't even realise it was raining until I was literally soaked! Set Guitars To Kill will always be my favourite song of their their set. The main act themselves presented a really intrigui

Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Nail Paint in Papaya

Isn't this colour gorgeous?! I resisted these Gelly polishes for a while. Having swatches them in store I wasn't impressed with their drying time even with just one coat but couple a 3 for 2 offer with the need to own every coral ever and I caved. Who could blame me?  Minimal tip wear on my lesser used digits since Thursday (today being Tuesday) although I did have to redo my index finger yesterday.  I'm still not impressed with the drying time or the stability once dried but some good ole Seche Vite fixed that and these have lasted fairly well! Maybe Seche has just spoiled me... Ah well I'm sure I'll live! X

"How to use oils" some tips from The Body Shop UK

I came across this video on Facebook the other day in a rare example of their targeted advertising actually hitting the spot. I'm big into oils as I have dry everything and there are a few tips in here that I wasn't aware of and will definitely be trying. Do you have any favourite oils? Or maybe you've got some tips & tricks not mentioned here? Let us know in the comments below!

A little catchup.

Hola Lovlies!!  It's been a while hasn't it? With Michelle embarking on her big move to the city of Man (Or Manchester as normal people call it) & me pretty much hibernating due to a lot of excess in London (yes I know I'm still going on about it!) plus some other top secret exciting things coming up in September, there's not been a lot going on.   But now I'm breaking out of my wallow phase & seeking a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). This may or may not be helped by the fact that I was given 2 free lobsters & some crab today in work. Cut to me play Barefoot Contessa and whipping up some Lobster Pot Pie! I even made the pastry myself. Mucho self satisfaction going on.  [Edit]  My Instagram of the finished article. It was scrummy! Prizes for those who get the reference ;) In my hibernation I have also rediscovered my love doing my nails & below you can see my 2 latest nail art creations. I've even vined the mix & match so you can see each stag
