DIY fashion colour with BLEACH London

Im a bit naughty when it comes to my hair. I only get it cut roughly every 3 months and have a tendency to just let my colour fade until I can't take it anymore which, to be fair, is an improvement on my student days of cutting it myself twice a year and hoping for the best with harsh box dyes.

Praise the gods for the wonderful Sharon at Paul Stafford Hairdressing for converting me to the salon! What I love about her is her adventurousness with my colour and recently I've been rocking an amazing copper & pink combo but as with most all fashion colours it fades fast and hard and can be rather expensive to keep up.

But thanks to a combination of a £10 voucher with a Boots 3for2 offer on the new BLEACH London home hair care products what did I get? An awesome way to freshen up my colour without breaking the bank!

So who are BLEACH? They're basically the new hip & trendy salon in London and are coming out with amazing on-trend looks such as pastel colours, dip dyes and other wonders (leopard print hair anyone?. Also they are best buds/partners in crime with the girls at WAH Nails and have adjoining salons in the Oxford Street TopShop & their Dalston store. So you know I'm instantly hooked!

Here's my step by guide on how I tested out the dyes:

Take one messy mop and pose for obligatory "before" shots. Ignore the scrunchy...
Enlist the help of a bestie and snap blurry selfies for Instagram.
Have your tools and products ready to go (these colours don't come boxed so you will have to supply your own gloves, mixing pots and peroxide if you want to pre lighten)
If like me you're going 2-toned separate your hair into sections and clip up.
Apply generously and secure in place. You can wrap any bits you want streaked in tinfoil like us if you wish.
Believe it or not we only used a third of the pink and half of the tangerine on my abundance of hair so you really get a lot out of it!
To add heat and aid the developing of the colour you can, like me, wrap your head in tinfoil.

Because I am ridiculous.

Then take hilarious pics of your tinfoil alien proof hat and immediately post on Instagram once again! Because of reasons...

And 20 minutes later (or 45 in my case) you're done!
I spent the next day trying to capture the perfect picture of my new colour and I honestly still don't think I've done it justice. But trust me it's fab! I love the pink and tangerine, they work amazingly well together and considering the whole process cost me a £1? Well you can't be bad to that!

I even took advantage of my free fringe trim for the first time ever just to make sure it looked like a brand new do that will last approximately 10 washes.

*cue lots of swishing*

Ta ta for now!

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low
