The unexpected delights of Lidl Fashion

A few weeks ago I was given the chance to browse the entire Spring/Summer fashion collections being rolled out to Lidl stores throughout the season. Each week the stores will introduce a few key items so that you can build up the full collection if you wish. Nothing is over £12 (in fact most of it under £8) and the quality is pretty damn amazing with most pieces being fully lined and well tailored.

A picture says a thousand words so I'll let them talk for themselves but I shall say this first; These pictures prove the importance of proper merchandising in stores, they prove that you should never judge a book by its cover (or an outfit by its plastic wrapped packaging) and they prove that you'll no longer walk past those slightly unappealing bins full of clothes at Lidl any more because, I promise, you'll miss out on some absolutely stunning bargains if you do.

Here I am marvelling at the stunning collections which feature classic trends such as nautical, bohemian, monochrome & pastels that not only can you wear this year, you can wear them every year.

But it's not all talk, straight after this event I hit up my local Lidl to see just how their beautiful displays translated in store. If I'm honest it was slightly underwhelming. Piled deep in wire bins the packaging resembles a school shirt. But, of course, as they only stock a few items per week there was plenty of choice with those few items. The size range is amazing. There are samples out of the packaging for you to feel and explore, it sounds a bit poncy but touch is such an important element when you aren't able to try things on.

The price point is phenomenal. I bought this dress, trench coat, necklace and leggings for less then £30! That also included a huge bag of pistachios and a tub of chicken! Not too bad if you ask me. It definitely keeps in line with the Lidl ethos of not sacrificing quality for budget and I can't wait to gather more and more pieces over the coming months. They really are worth it.

Oh and thanks to my wee brother for capturing this lovely windswept look. If only I could convince him to do it more often!

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low
