To line or not to line? That is the question.

Here's a bit of a confession I have to make. And a potentially philosophical question (ok maybe not, definitely economical).

My name is Rebecca, I've been wearing makeup for 15 years and I really hate applying eyeliner.

Let's get real guys, I'm bad at it. I never perfected the perfect cats eye because I just get bored and I usually end up being allergic to pen or gel formulas and cry it off immediately. In fact the above makeup look was created without using any eyeliner whatsoever.

Can you tell?

After years of frustration and in a mix of laziness, time saving and convenience I have begun to skip using a proper eyeliner in favour of a quick flick of dark shadow along my lower lash line and I'm not sure I should feel sorry about it.

Ok, yes. I am still "lining" my eye but I've found I save so much time by skipping out the fussy gels, pens and pencils. I spend far less energy trying to get the perfect line only to only smudge it out when I fluff it up and get fed up.

My "go to" palette is currently the Naked 2 from Urban Decay and my preferred "lining" shades within it are YDK, Busted & Blackout. With the odd dalliance to Pistol. I switch quite regularly between this & the original palette and I lust, covetously, for the 3rd Rose-tinted palette. They really are just perfect.

So what's your take?

Am I completely mad? Am I breaking some golden rule? Or is this completely normal and I'm just way behind the times? Answers on a postcard (or down below) please, I'm dying to know!

    1. Yay glad I'm not the only one lol. Shadow stick is a good idea. I'd be lost without my angled brush. it makes the whole thing possible.
      Thankyou M'Lady!! Xx

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low
