Calm by Ciara Moore: 5 reasons to get Calm.

When I was offered the chance to visit Calm Massage and Beauty in Randalstown, it came at exactly the right time. I was smack bang in the middle of a series of stressful and invasive hospital appointments and I needed some calm in my life. It sounds trite but it’s true.

Honestly I’m so glad I went. Ciara herself is so lovely and I loved the atmosphere in the small two room salon, situated on Randalstown Main Street, just half an hour outside Belfast. Here are a few reasons to make the trip.

Ciara herself
We chatted for quite a while after my appointment was finished and I loved how enthusiastic Ciara was about doing the best for her clients. Whether it was choosing products that she really believed in, supporting other female led businesses around Northern Ireland, training in services that could potentially be life changing - more on that later - She has great hands and a great heart too.

Neal’s Yard
I’ve never had a facial using Neals Yard before and I came of the salon with a bit of a shopping list as I was hooked on the amazing scents. Using a mix of their ranges, including their Deliciously Ella range, she tailors the facial to your skin leaving it lovely and soft. And as it isn’t a cosmeceutical range there is no down time or recovery.

The Floopiness.
I’ve talked about Ciara as a person but let’s talk about those skills too! Apart from the fact that she carried out THE most delicate mascara removal I’ve ever witnessed “to take care of the skin” during the facial; she was also able to knock out the many stress knots I have during the massage. I walked out of the salon with that gorgeous loose feeling I like to call, Floopy.

She cares for women
As we talked about the business and the services she offered, Ciara began talking about fertility treatments and how she really wanted to help women through what it a very difficult time. Ciara talks about her own experiences on her own blog and why she is passionate about offering the services.

Calm Triple Treat
Featuring a deluxe facial and a full back, neck, and shoulder massage plus a manicure; priced at 99.00. The third part of the treat takes place in her fabulous custom manicure station which you can see below - as a Nail Technician I have so much station envy. Ciara has generously given me a number of 50.00 vouchers towards the Triple Treat for my readers, so if you would like to experience at more than 50% discount then give me a comment below or a message and I will send you a voucher - there are plenty still available so don't be shy!

Bonus Points!
I mentioned that I was invited to Calm by the fabulous OhhSocial team, well they have a number of 'Buy One Get One' offers available on the app, I was treated to the Deluxe Duo which included the deluxe facial and a full back, neck, and shoulder massage but with the app you also get a discounted future service and a little bag of goodies to take home! Bliss!

Thankyou to Ciara and Ohh Social for this ohh so delightful treat!

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low

Le mini macaron gel manicure kit review

Can we talk about how long it's been since I've done a nail post? Too long. Far too long! Well wait no more because I have the cutest little product to show you! I picked Le mini macaron in Sephora. It was clearly over priced at around €30 but completely irresistible to my gel obsessed self (hey, it's sort of my job so I have an excuse) especially in my Sephora daze where I went into shove-everything-in-the-basket mode.  No regrets.  The kit comes in 4 colours, I chose peach because I love saying le péché in French and I LOVE the colour peach. It's the cutest little kit that comes with a usb cable, a little nail file and a cuticle pusher as well as some remover wipes and a European plug. The latter two remain completely unused.  In Sephora itself you can buy stand alone polishes in a huge assortment of colours but to be honest, I wouldn't buy these polishes again. Single step UV polishes (no base or top coat needed) sound great but there is
