Lush Belfast Gets a Glowup!

Stop everything you're doing right now. Lush Belfast have opened their new store in castle lane and it is everything and more and you need to go to it now. Ok maybe not now - it's quite late at night while I'm writing this - but you know what I mean.

To give you an idea of size, the new giant sized shop is split in to 5 main sections - face, body, bath, scent, hair - each of which could have taken up the old shop on their own; gone are the days of claustrophobia whilst queuing for a sniff of the latest product, now you can take a seat and relax while you try them out. Speaking of products there are a tonne of new ones to choose from, with quite a few having previously been Oxford street exclusives. Now, I'm a die hard fan of the bubble bars and bath bombs but I think my new favourite section is the wall of bath oils. Designed to looks like tiny hand made chocolates, you may want to keep an eye on the kids if you're bring them with you, according to my source (ha!) it would not be the first time that tiny mouths have tried to take a taste!

Look at them though, aren't they so pretty?! We spent ages trying to work out all the various scents and what they reminded us of, a few of my favourites brought back memories of play-doh, parma violets, olbus oil, and the incense sticks of my youth - if you can only smell one though you need to smell Flowers Barrow filled with blackcurrant and camomile it is stunningly floral and reminds me of a lychee without actually containing any!
Having another wander around the shop we talked about the massage bars - the lego like dimples of Hottie are amazing when my arthritis flares ups as the ginger and black pepper stimulate blood flow and the bumpy bits themselves help with the pressure. I spent a good 20 minutes reading up on hair masks trying to work out exactly which one would be the best to repair my heat frazzled tresses, and even managed to fit in a few demonstrations, including their amazing new bubble bars that act like fidget spinners and one that actually lets you blow bubble through it! Basically I was a kid in a candy shop. Bliss.

Of course I couldn't leave without a cheeky purchase. I bought a few of the bath oils and a tub of H'suan Wen Hua to help with project hair rescue and was randomly gifted - as part of their Pay It Forward scheme to nice customers- one of the new paintbrush bubble bars which lets you paint your bubbles!! I was like a kid in a candy store!

If you want to try your hand at building bath bombs - and maybe getting to take them home - then keep an eye out for their compounders in store this Saturday from 11 - 3, I thoroughly recommend getting a complimentary arm massage because they will just pull any stress out of you and leave you refreshed and ready for the day... and more shopping obviously.

This stunning new display for their gift wraps is one of only two in the world, you have to go to Japan for the other one.

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems.
This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take.

And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low Molec…
