Oh, Hiya! NOTD and closed missing persons report..

Well hello there! It's been a crazy couple of months for both Bex and I hence the mysterious disappearance of both of us. We have both been moving house, myself in Leeds and Bex in Belfast (as well as her trip to London for the IMATS!!)

I'm heading back to Northern Ireland for my yearly trip home on the 13th of this month for a week... I'm meeting Bex at the airport for a catch up and then i'll head to my hometown to meet my parents as they are flying in from Italy the same day. We shall meet up again, I like to spend as much time in Belfast as possible when I'm over home and I'm sure a joint post will occur too! This may be heavily St Patricks day themed as we are heading out that day. I'm thinking themed nails and face paint to be honest!

Soooo, while there is all that to look forward to, I still have some boxes to unpack here - note to self... need more storage *groan*

Here's a NOTD, my nails have fallen into disrepair with all the box moving and shifting and my right thumb nail had a huge chunk missing from it which has been fixed thanks to the help of teabagging ...uh teabags. (I'll explain in another post at the weekend..)

I have a herring problem - O.P.I
Part of the Dutch collection I got from Buya Powa.

Holland/Dutch collection from Buya Powa. Love these shades, can't wait to try them all out. I was going to go for the red first but when this sparkly green/grey caught my eye it had to be first.

My new bottle of Seche which I purchased from here Only £5.50 with free delivery!! Came the next day too, I'm well impressed with the seller and will definitely buy again.

My Current base coat...it's a bit meh but while it's still nearly full I can justify buying another just yet so will persevere with it. I still reckon the best base coat out there is the Nails Inc Kensington Caviar base.

Does anyone have any base coat recommendations? And also places to get decent, not too expensive storage solutions?

xx

Le mini macaron gel manicure kit review

Can we talk about how long it's been since I've done a nail post? Too long. Far too long! Well wait no more because I have the cutest little product to show you! I picked Le mini macaron in Sephora. It was clearly over priced at around €30 but completely irresistible to my gel obsessed self (hey, it's sort of my job so I have an excuse) especially in my Sephora daze where I went into shove-everything-in-the-basket mode.  No regrets.  The kit comes in 4 colours, I chose peach because I love saying le péché in French and I LOVE the colour peach. It's the cutest little kit that comes with a usb cable, a little nail file and a cuticle pusher as well as some remover wipes and a European plug. The latter two remain completely unused.  In Sephora itself you can buy stand alone polishes in a huge assortment of colours but to be honest, I wouldn't buy these polishes again. Single step UV polishes (no base or top coat needed) sound great but there is

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Hot Oil

Not of the olive variety. This morning I tried VO5 hot oil before washing my hair, I picked it up yesterday from my second home - Boots . I was a little dubious at first because it was only £2.18 for 4 tubes of it and I was thinking "hmmmmm, but theres an intensive conditioner over there for 8 quid and it must be better?"  NO, don't got for that over priced leave in conditioner give these little beauties a try first. Pop one out of the packet and stick it in a cup/sink of hot water for 60 seconds to heat it up. While it's got its feet up with a cuppa chilling out wet your hair  thoroughly. Get the tube from the hot water, pop it open and massage it into your hair. I concentrated on the ends of my hair as they are in the worst condition, then worked it through the rest of my hair. The pack comes with strict instructions not to leave it on for more that 1 minute as it's an intensive treatment it can cause irritation of left on any longer. So I was sharpish &
