A good old fashioned FOTD featuring NARS, Benefit & NYC!

This weekend I finally got my act together and cracked open the NARS goodies I got at IMATS  and, unsurprisingly, I'm in love... Mostly.  Products used Bourgois Healthy Mix Serum in shade 52 Benefit Fake Up in Light & Medium blended* Benefit Hello Flawless Powder in Ivory (to set)* NARS Multiple Brozer in Tuomota NARS Blush in Douceur NARS Cream Eyeshadow in Petula NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Bysance NYC Big Bold Curl Extra Black* NARS Lip Liner Pencil in Hush Palmer's Cocoa Butter Moisturising Lip Balm You can see I didn't go massively crazy here. It's quite close to my normal "going out" look with the exception of some black liner and I can definitely see why the girls at the NARS booth recommended this set (1 of 3 available) for me.  I love purple eyes & this is a gorgeous shade of purple but I got a bit lost with the yellow side of the duo. My mistake was trying to put the yellow over the purple rather than the other way round. It didnt wo

Cleanliness is next to happiness? Featuring Cowshed Cow Slip

Hello lovelies! So today we have a close up of what is so far my most used item from the Selfridges festival beauty box and current fave hand cream/sanitiser. Cowshed Cow Slip describes itself as a natural antibacterial & soothing hand gel. You see the way they put it on the label above. Very direct. I personally would describe it as something I between a cream & a gel. A crel? Ugh that sounds awful whereas this stuff is great! A little goes a long way & unlike some other antibacterial gels or foams (I have a few including a massive bottle of Cutan I "acquired" during one of my hospital stays.. Shhh) my hands don't feel dry or claggy or even still a wee bit dirty! Instead they are soft & supple and minty fresh. Given that there are 2 types of mint in here & some orange you could be forgiven if people thought you were a bit heavy on the toothpaste before your breakfast in the morning but I find the strong smell quite satisfying in that I know

Selfridges Festival Beauty Box

Aloha! How is everyone today? Not gonna lie I had the best day with some of my besties. We went to our local Hilton in Templepatrick for a Spa day & then wedding dress shopping for my friend who recently got engaged!! Feeling very relaxed & very grown up right now, I'll be honest.  Bringing me back to my youth is the Selfridges Festival Beauty Box you see pictured above! I picked this up the other week in London and have slowly but surely been making my way through the goodies inside. If I like them enough I may even tell you more about them! (Spoiler alert: I definitely am "in Like" & "Almost Love" with some of these so you will definitely be hearing more!) For now I'll leave you with a few snaps of the contents. Not pictured in close up are the NPW  face wipes &  Violent Lips  Lip Appliques  because... Well they're face wipes & unused lip tattoos. Only so much you can do with that!    Illamasqua  Liquid Metal metallic crea

Embracing my inner country girl.

Hey ladies! Today's post is more of a lifestyle post than we're used so bare with me as I spend most of it with no makeup & frizzy hair.  This weekend I went back home to Antrim for a reunion of sorts with my girlies from school. It's been about 9 months since we were all together so it was great to catch up. On Saturday a few of us went to the Irish Games Fair at Shane's Castle. It's basically comic-con for farmers, not my sort of thing but we'd heard there would be Archery & burgers so we were up for it.  Once we were there we discovered a food & craft fair where I pretty much lusted after all the things. These bags and purses were too cute but I couldn't justify the spending as I'm still recovering from London. We did partake in quite a few free wine & cider samples, however, and came out quite giggly.  We saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Delorean!  And then we played a few games including
