OOTD featuring Tesco & New Look

I've been majorly obsessed by dresses recently, skater dresses especially. My obsession has gotten to the point where I realised recently I have do not own any jeans or skirts anymore.  Like, none!  Cue the need for a new look and, given that I'm off to Egypt in 6 weeks, it needed to be a cheap one. I grabbed this skater skirt in uh... New Look for just £4! The Transformers T-shirt was £8 in Tesco and, as with any round neck tee I own, I cut the neck off to give comfort and make it a bit more "me".  Make sure to check out the New Look sale at the minute as it is full of wee gems at bargainous prices! And if you like your geek culture t-shirts then both Tesco & Asda have a wide range of official merchandise in their Men's sections for around £8 - £10.

What's in my makeup bag?

If I ever properly considered the amount of makeup I carry with me every day (even when I'm not wearing it) I'd probably freak out. Long gone are the days when I'd struggle to find a mascara, if the apocalypse happened tomorrow and lipstick became currency then I'd be sorted for at least a week! Here you'll see the "recently-cleaned-due-to-a-spill"  contents of my everyday makeup bag. I don't wear all of it most days but it is constantly with me in case of some makeup emergency my vanity is planning for. It doesn't count the blusher/cuticle cream/cuticle oil/lip balm/nail polish/nail file/cover up powder/perfumes/moisturiser I've just spotted while rummaging through my bag for a pen.  I'm fairly scundered if I'm honest... That's embarrassed for you non Northern Irish folk. But also, and I'm being really  honest here, I'm not one bit sorry!

New favourite item alert!

Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned and really simple. My new cardigan is definitely one of those things. I picked it up from H&M last Tuesday after coming out of work to discover mini summer had hit and my reliably big black winter coat was now punishment instead comfort.  Of course it's grey. I love grey, I find it very hard not to buy grey clothes and usually end up wearing some form it (see my Primark dark grey leggings as a firm example of this! I have repurchased these countless times!)  The long length means it's very flattering, you could easily wear this with a cute dress & leggings or some jeans & a t-shirt for an uber casual look. Oh and the best bit?  It's only £7.99 ! Yay for not being overpriced!  I may have also got the black version. Oops!

The terrible two reunited... And then shopping happened.

Living in Belfast and Manchester it's rare that we get the chance to hang out in person. Last week we made the most of being in the same city by going for a bit of grub and having a nosy round  House Of Fraser. More specifically round their  Beauty Confidential  which was giving customers the chance to learn about this season's beauty trends and pick up discounts and deals on their most popular products. With full stomachs and burning purses we took advantage of the beauty counters offering to test some of their products on us whilst we were there! Michelle at Bobbi Brown working out the best foundation & concealer. Michelle at Dior getting a Lip and Brow demo                   ( I do smile, honest!)  Bellá Pierre demonstrated the joys of mineral makeup for Bex Big Brows and Bold Lips from Dior (although could do with some colour corrector round those eyes!) Bex sneakily grabbed this gorgeous new highlighter from Di
