5 reasons to visit Glenarm Castle Tulip Festival this bank holiday Monday

If you're looking for something to do with the family this bank holiday Monday it could be very tempting to take a trip up to the beach along with hoards of others who have had the same idea. However if you want to something different this weekend I have a plan for you. The 11th annual  Glenarm Tulip Festival has everything to make a great day out and take advantage of, hopefully, great weather! Here are my 5 reasons to visit Glenarm Castle this weekend! The Castle   There are only a few select times during the year that Glenarm Castle opens its doors to the public. If you are lucky enough to be there on these days you will see centuries of history from the Earls of Antrim, beautiful portraits, stunning statues and artifacts, and you might even bump in to her ladyship herself!       The Garden Trail   A short twenty minutes will take you around the walled garden trail. You not only get to see the pristine landscaping - something

Étude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack review

It will come as no surprise that I have been trying out some new skin care. Skin care, and keeping my skin hydrated, is my eternal struggle. As we enter the summer this problem multiplies. My skin does not agree with heat. Air conditioning dries me out, I get heat rashes everywhere, and I am UV sensitive due to a mix of medications and being pale AF so sun worshipping is just not an option; And so I bathe in everything that promises moisturising and reparative properties. Case in point this  Étude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack I found in TK Maxx. Using black tea this gel mask also contains 'moisture capsule bubbles' which you can burst and mix in before applying to your face for what is apparently an extra burst of moisture. It's all neatly packaged up to look like a cup of bubble tea which is a popular drink all over in Asia and makes sense given that this is a Chinese brand (despite their French name) The ingredients listed are a bit of a muddle but I

Trend spotting with Quiz Fairhill Ballymena

If you read my post on the discounts involved in  Ballymena Means Fashion  you'll know that Saturday 8th April is going to be an epic day of shopping and treats for everyone. As part of my coverage of the event I was invited down to Fairhill Shopping Centre in Ballymena (hi) to visit Quiz and see the latest trends that will displayed in tomorrow's fashion show.  I met the lovely Nikita, who I'd like to thank Up-front for hosting me and showing me round the store, she picked out that pinks, ruffles and embroidered denim are the big trends that they are stocking.      Please excuse the changing room lighting but how cute are these jeans?!? I remember rocking a very similar pair a cool *cough*twenty*cough* years ago in the late nineties and I thought I was the bee's knees. Guess what? I still do!     I really love this cinched top with necklace detail in both the white and the pink but I decided that the pink was my f

Ballymena Means Fashion Food And Choice

Growing up in Antrim meant that we spent many a Saturday heading up the road to go shopping in Ballymena. That's why I was delighted to be contacted by the folks at  Ballymena Means  to work with them for  Ballymena Means Fashion on the 8th April. This meant that I was able to get a preview on the shops and venues involved and do a bit of shopping; and if you guys know me, you'll know I love shopping! Now if you're not familiar with Ballymena my recommendation is to head straight for the main shopping centres. Both Fairhill and Tower Centre are great focal points to help you keep your bearings.  First up we started with the men's fashion. I was a woman on a mission to find my brother some new items and wanted to check out what was on offer. We visited  Remus Uomo and Wallaces where we were shown around the suits and accessories. I was pleasantly surprised at the modern ranges available; I'm no expert on men's fashion but it was nice to something bey
