Makeup Revolution Scandalous Lipsticks

I'm not sure what possessed me to buy these at 1AM a few weeks ago. Maybe it was the pay day excitement of restocking up on foundation. Maybe it was the boredom of the pinks and nudes that all just seem to blur in to one another these days. Perhaps I thought I'd get adventurous and come up with some amazing avant-gard look and become a famous Instagram MUA... 1am purchases are often filled with idealism and self delusion. Whatever the reason, when the lipsticks themselves arrived I was a bit meh. The colours are amazing and I've heard awesome things about Makeup Revolution so I was expecting big things. Instead I got an exact copy of the MUA packaging and a similar formula although perhaps slightly more buttery leaving them more sheer. Not bad for their £1 price tag and it wouldn't stop me buying them but I'll not rush out to empty the Superdrug shelves just yet. I was happy with MUA as a brand. I didn't need another carbon copy.  Makeup Revolut

Love Knows No Limits

I don't know why but I don't think I've ever mentioned on my blog that I am bisexual. Ive struggled a lot in the past with that word. I've always been semi-openly LGBT but I guess I still deal with a lot of the Bi-Phobia that is ingrained in both the straight and gay communities. I've called myself "open", "fluid", a "lesbian who happens to also like men"; I wince at the looks I get when a girls eyes glaze over because she thinks "oh you're one of them" or when a guy thinks he's managed to turn me because I'm showing an interest in him. The truth is that I've always been bi-sexual. I've always fancied both. You really are born that way. I first realised it when I was 11 and had the urge to kiss the girl sitting beside me in a Religious Studies class. I have vague memories of saying I was "Curious" at 15 to my friends and then never mentioning it again. And then I went through an odd perio

Princess Realness with Eliza J & House of Fraser

I've been holding these pictures back for weeks because I didn't know how to say how much I loved it. Truth is I talk too much so I'm not going to say anything, just marvel at the absolutely gorgeous gown I wore to the charity ball I mentioned a few weeks ago.     Dress: Eliza J | Shoes: New Look | Accessories: Dyrberg Kern | Makeup: Rebecca Bryson LOVE! Hospitals, makeup & anti-embolism stockings: Living the dream.

I can go makeup free almost every day in life but when it comes to being in hospital (the one time it's actually required) I just can't. Sorry guys. I need my holy trinity.  My holy trinity being powder, bronzer & mascara. If I have just these 3 things, I can make it through anything. Including my regular trip to theatre to have my vocal cords lasered & my dreams of being a singer shattered.  My current view of the world. It's pretty blue. They've just wheeled out the first patient on the list and I'm third in line so it won't be long til I'm called. The waiting is the worst bit. And knowing what's coming. Actually maybe the worst bit is knowing that it won't make a damn bit of difference. Although I did learn I'm getting a new anti-viral treatment so you know... Fingers crossed for that.  I get fairly reflective sat here on my own just waiting. Needlessly reflective I'm sure some would say. You'd thi
