Bride of Hearts Nails

I mentioned earlier this week that we're coming in to Bridal season with Hen & Stag season well under way. Well last week I was lucky enough to send off my friend, and fellow FABB girl, Dawn & her Maid of Honour by doing their nails before they jet of to America for the ultimate Vegas wedding! Dawn was adamant she didn't want typical "bridal" nails and wanted to make an impact. These gorgeous Gel Hearts definitely live up to the brief. Totally cute, long lasting & durable too! Check out Dawn over at www.inanityandthegirl.com  As I post this she will be in the chaos of getting ready for her wedding later on today. Congrats to Dawn & Dave! Hope you have an awesome day!

WWBWD: Marvel's Black Widow gets her nails done

Continuing yesterday's Super hero/villain theme I'm actually showing off my own nails today!  When watching Captain America: The Winter Soldie r I was disappointed, yet unsurprised, to see Scarlett Johansen rocking short bare nails.  Perfect for fighting bad guys but not great for the nail art loving cosplayer in me. So I started thinking, if it came to nail art:  "What would Black Widow do?" I hope you agree that these are nails Natasha Romanov herself would be proud to wear. Subtle, pretty, functional, and a bit of an ode to her long time love (an Easter egg to the fans who've seen the film, I won't spoil it for those who haven't!) So what do you think?!

Lime Green Gel nails for the super villain in you!

It's full on Hen & Stag season with a few early weddings too and ive been busy doing their nails recently.  Lime green is not for the faint of heart but if you're game for it then you'll love these beauties. Colour matched to a Poison Ivy costume with red vine detail they are a subtle nod to the theme and perfect for the fun you'd expect from a hen weekend!  And they're Gel polish too so will last through the toughest of party games!

House of Fraser Press Preview S/S14

Last week was the House Of Fraser Spring/Summer press preview and the talk of the day was prints! Whether you're a floral, a nautical, an animal, or a geometric lover there is something for everyone and HOF have you sorted for all your printy needs! In between catching up with fellow FABB girls and Mark from House Of Fraser I snapped some of my favourite prints for you. Noticeably the Tea Dress is still a big player in my favourites and I even spotted a few wrap dresses which seem to be making a come back. Mostly likely as they are uber flattering to most shapes. My standout brand of the day was Dickens & Jones. Their swimsuits and beach wear are gorgeous and I absolutely fell in love with the floral tea dress (pictured above on mannequin to the left). I even went back down this week to buy it but unfortunately I'm way too short for it! Heatbroken. But I'll be heading back to see what else they have in store! Thank you aga

Budget vs Not-so-budget: the battle of the spring nail coloursfeaturing Barry M, Ciaté & Essie!

The first thing you need to know is that, like most sane people, I reach for my Barry M Ice Creams pretty much as soon as spring starts springing and the gorgeous pastels adorn my nails pretty much constantly until well into summer. It's remarkable that the bottles I own have lasted multiple years (a testament to just how much bang you get for your buck). The second thing you need to know is that I absolutely 100% cannot wear just one colour at a time. I just can't. I love them all so much that I feel compelled to wear them all at the same time.  See what I mean? Even a year on from this I'm still obsessed. Today saw me reaching once again for those faithful little bottles, however, I also noticed a few neglected but equally springy colours and decided something must be done. The Battle It became a battle of colour vs colour. Budget vs slightly bigger budget. Barry M vs Ciaté/Essie. Why? Well to put it simply... Because I can!  You can insta
