Therapie Clinic Belfast: An Introduction and an update

It probably sounds a bit weird that I’ll be doing both introduction and update in one post but this is how I feel that this post will end up so we’ll go with it for now.  An Introduction So who is Therapie Clinic? Therapie is the largest provider of laser hair removal in Ireland and Northern Ireland. They offer a wide range of services using brands such as Image Cosmetics , Yon Ka , and Murad in their treatments. Each treatment is tailored to the clients skin and focussed on nurturing the body and skin. And if you’re in the market for injectables? Stay away from those tanning salons and stick with the professionals!  When I was approached about the opportunity of collaboration with Therapie I was given the choice of what I thought would be suitable for myself. I have long been considering Laser Hair Removal - even going so far as to try out IPL removal in the past - and so I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to finally get it done.  After my first co

Beating the blues with #GroundDoesMondays

Monday’s used to be filled with sambucca shots and double vodbulls, now I’m partial to a chai tea latte or a caramel laiden hit caffeine.  I’ve really been trying to embrace cafe culture recently. My friends will tell you that I’m always looking for an excuse to meet up for the chats over a cuppa. I am under no illusion that this is a substitute for my drinking days! One of my favourite places to go for coffee is Ground Espresso and I’m slowly making my way through their ever expanding range of stores; the most recent of which is the new laganbank store in Lisburn where I popped in to chase away the Monday blues with my Mum.  Ground is the only place you’ll find me comfortable enough to drink a simple filter coffee. Their   La montaña Columbian filter from Berlin, with its jammy blackcurrent notes through a chemex filter - removing all harshness fr om the coffee - actually suffers when you add milk and it’s only through my  lessons  with Ground that I can even begin to understa

Date Yo’ Self!

We’re only days in to February and already the Valentine’s Day hype is upon us. Every post on social media and promotional email pinging in to your inbox is full of romantic getaways, gift ideas for your other half, and over priced set menus; if you’re a commitmentphobe like myself then it can seem like you’re not part of the cool gang. Well do you know what I say to that? FUCK IT. Date yourself! Do your nails.  Get gussied up.  Shit at applying lashes? Spend an hour practicing! It’s not like there’s someone impatiently waiting and giving you side eye.  Eat your weight in holiday chocolate - am I the only one who thinks it tastes better because there’s less preservatives?  Missing your Netflix and chill? How about Netflix and Chinese takeout except probably not because it’s only Wednesday. Let’s not go too crazy! Still… You’re half way through season 4 of Weeds and Nancy’s cataclysmic relationship choices are making you feel much better about single life right now.
