Nice & Easy foam colour review

I was a so excited when I learnt that foam dye was coming out, I had my hair done last year and they used foam dye and it was brilliant. Then came the bad reviews that made me change my mind, people were saying it was rubbish and they were disappointed with it. So I was going to give it a miss until I walked by it in Boots and it was only £4.99. BARGAIN!
So off I trotted, a fiver lighter, with a questionable box of dye in tow.
I'm pleased to announce that this is probably the best dye I've ever used. You open the box, mix bottle 1 and bottle 2 together so it goes from a fairly runny liquid to what can only be described as what looks like nicotine coloured foam. Next, pump a big old handful of foam into your hand and work into your hair in a shampoo like motion and continue until the hair is fully wet through. Then go back over your hair line to make sure its all covered. I have to admit that I didn't think the bottle would do my whole head (I have near arse length hair that's thicker than a horses tail) but it did! I was a little worried at one stage as I had dyed my forehead purple/indigo, yes really, but it came off easy enough with a face wipe. The foam is so much easier to use than normal home dyes, goes on super quick, makes hardly any mess and smells a whole lot better than the other bottled varieties.
After leaving it for 25 mins came the worst bit - washing it all off. This usually leaves me with a black bath and some ruined wall tiles. NOT THIS TIME!! The water went that forehead purple colour again which I was a little concerned about but powered through regardless. Topped off with the sachet of included conditioner and I was done (the hot water also ran out at this stage). Hair dried and straightened I can't fault this dye anywhere*. Shiny, black, no roots, not messy and looks quite natural - what more could you want?! I've debunked the bad reviews this really is nice 'n easy.
*purple forehead not included.

Diet Coke & Nails Inc are at it again...

I couldn't resist, I thought by working overtime till Boots was closed would be enough to stop me from purchasing yet more nail varnish (luckily there is a Boots that stays open until midnight) So, off I trotted advantage card in hand to get my two bottles of Diet Coke and my Free Nails Inc polish. The colours are lovely I'll be going back for the rest at the weekend but for now I got "Heather Grey", a sweet little dusky, purply, grey-y mix:

This is the best picture to show the colour, in the other photo the flash is on and makes it look reallllly lilac.

It looks like a whole different colour here, blame my flash.
Boots beauty blog states that "*Offer available from 12/01/10 until 15/02/10. Subject to availability" I reckon they mean 2011. Even if you did have to time travel to get your mitts on these nail polish's I'd say it's worth it, for the price of 2 bottles of diet coke your getting a £10.50 colour!! P.s if its anything like the promotion last year you should also be able to get this as part of a meal deal. Michelle

Practical?

Seriously when you're on crutches it might be time to put the stilettos away. And this comes from someone with a stiletto obsession!

Mail Order Mishaps

881
Ordering Online is not something I do very often. Being a larger lady you have to be careful with sizes so trying things on is vital!
This dress from H&M proves just this. Absolutely gorgeous dress which in store looked fairly roomy in the smaller sizes and as per usual they didn't have mine. So on the off chance I ordered it online but when it arrived the shoulders were just too tight and my boobs were just too big.
Gutted.
But lesson learned. I'll stick to the shops from now on. Can't afford all those postage & packaging costs I'm afraid.
