Getting crafty with KARMA jewellery

This week I was invited to take part in a Jewellery making workshop in The Black Box by the folks at KARMA Jewellery. 

If you haven't heard of KARMA they are a Belfast based company who's ethos of uplifting and inspiring the recipients of their product also comes with the benefits of knowing you are helping the community when you make your purchase. 10% of all their sales goes to helping out local charities, all of which is detailed on their website. So when you make a purchase it's definitely good for your karma... 

Ok punning aside its a pretty great idea, it's been a few years since I went through my jewellery making phase so I jumped at the chance to join in and learn some new techniques. 

We started out with a bit of a "get to know you" session where we each recieved personalised gifts. Massively generous given that they were about to let us loose among their huge bead collection. After a quick demonstration on how to assemble the pieces we got stuck in. I don't think I've ever seen a room of Bloggers so still as we all sat in a zen-like concentration. It's definitely a peaceful hobby, until you spill your beads! Thankfully we had no major spills.



After we finished our own bangles the girls closed them off with their signature "Made In Belfast" charms and we all compared our diverse creations. 

This was such a lovely evening from KARMA and I really hope they start offering sessions like this to the public (it's a winning idea and the perfect girly hangout!) until then, however, you satiate your need at your nearest Argento store or online. Prices range from £15 to approx £50 for a themed stack and the choices are endless!

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. The Ordinary by The Abnormal Beauty Company (or how I dipped my toe in to Deciem)

  The Ordinary by the Abnormal Beauty Company ; If you haven't heard about this cult brand yet then you might not know they are hot shit right now and with their parent company, Deciem , being bought up by Estée Lauder they're only going to get bigger.   The internet has been a buzz for months now with beauty gurus far and wide raving about these high end products for low end prices. I couldn't believe it myself when I saw that there wasn't a product in the range that cost more than 8.00 quid!  So I joined the cult.
