Mani Monday Week 5

Hi Gals! And so here is another instalment of our Nail Challenge and this week is Blue themed! I went with an Essie/Miss Sporty combo and some cute ass studs!
I really wanted to break out the Konad this week but oh my word that Essie is a tricky vixen. This is about 4 coats of blue with a mid & top Seche coat. Yes that's right middle coat AND top coat! So many layers I couldn't face anymore.
As always don't forget to check out Instagram for contributions from Gayle @kaspanda86. You can also find, me @faeribex, Bex @bexberrymua, Caroline @mademoisellerouge and Jen @jenlingyang, and be sure to tag one of us so we can see your contributions!
Ps check out my nasty winter worn cuticles. I am in need of a professional mani badly. Any offers? ;)

Calm by Ciara Moore: 5 reasons to get Calm.

When I was offered the chance to visit Calm Massage and Beauty in Randalstown, it came at exactly the right time. I was smack bang in the middle of a series of stressful and invasive hospital appointments and I needed some calm in my life. It sounds trite but it’s true.

Honestly I’m so glad I went. Ciara herself is so lovely and I loved the atmosphere in the small two room salon, situated on Randalstown Main Street, just half an hour outside Belfast. Here are a few reasons to make the trip.
Ciara herself We chatted for quite a while after my appointment was finished and I loved how enthusiastic Ciara was about doing the best for her clients. Whether it was choosing products that she really believed in, supporting other female led businesses around Northern Ireland, training in services that could potentially be life changing - more on that later - She has great hands and a great heart too.

I’ve never had a facial using Neals Yard before and I came of the salon with a bit of …

Bex’s Mid Year Beauty Favourites 2018

This year I have been quietly chugging away in the back ground testing out some new - to me - products (or versions of) and I’ve decided it’s time to share. I guess I’ve been inspired by the multiple people this week who told me off for making them need to buy pretty things. So here are some pretty things for you that you may just want to buy even if you don’t need them! Ha!

I’ve been obsessing over Estèe Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye for months and I just can’t get enough of it’s balmy texture. Someone recently asked on InstastoryQuestions - mouthful - what my night time routine is and while most of the products change from night to night, this fella is consistent.
A trio of delights here that took me by surprise. I recently declared that I had found my perfect mascara, but that doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying new ones. Wet’n’Wild Lash Renegade* really surprised me with its impact and, whilst the spool isn’t my all time favourite, I am really digging it.  Another Wet’n’Wild favou…

Stocking Up On Old Favourites - Benefit Cosmetics

There is a temptation, when trying to summarise a period of time, to use all matter of banalities. "Oh, what a few weeks it has been" I find myself thinking, and indeed it has been a crazy few weeks. Its been a crazy few months! I have gone from being settled in a, fairly comfortable, long term job to switching careers in to a completely different industry on a temporary contract with no security, no back up, and no real idea of what I would do if it all went tits up. I was balancing this by taking on extra work with the blog, attending an uptake in hospital appointments and undergoing extra, ongoing, tests; becoming a god mum for the second time, becoming a kitty re-homer, and a tonne of other things which I can't even put in to words.
And then right at the end I found out that I was being made permanent; my risk had paid off. My new employers were ecstatically happy with how I was settling in and the stars aligned when a position opened up and I could cross over to sec…
