Benefit Cosmetics Air Patrol - a BB/SPF/Primer bonanza!

Benefit Cosmetics just seem to be the brand that keeps on giving when it comes to bringing out new innovative cosmetics. With two or three new launches per year they do not rest for striving for perfection. Best selling Mascara on the market? We can make it better. Best selling Primer on the market? We can do something different.

And that's what they've done with newcomer Air Patrol.  This new eyeshadow primer has 3 key selling points. It's main function to prime the eyelids ensuring your eyeshadow's longevity. It also has BB properties meaning that it nourishes and smooths out the skin tone thus enhancing any pigment that you put over it. Finally, it has an SPF of 20 so you know that the most delicate area of your face is protected every time you wear it.

Pretty good eh? I'll admit I was initially skeptical of the tinted cream as it is much darker than my skin tone (as seen below) however it does blend out and is barely visible once applied.

The memory foam tip is the oddest experience but makes absolute sense when you start using it. Your eyes are delicate and you want an applicator that isn't going to dig into them. Traditionally this has been a finger or brush but now you don't have to dirty them up! You also get zero wastage as a quick reverse click of the tube sucks the product back down. Handy, comfy, clean, and what's even better? It really works!

Here are 3 looks I've done recently all using my new Naked 3 Palette and all using Air Patrol.

So here's how you can get yourself a wee bargain. House Of Fraser's twice yearly Beauty Confidential event is currently running until the 22nd Sept. The deal is that if you buy one of your favourite products and you buy one of theirs then you can get £10 off! So say you bought yourself this and any of the items in the offer (Benefit Rollerlash for example?) you get Air Patrol for almost half the price. Bargain!

Of course another way to get the product completely free is to enter the Faeriwood Facebook competition to win one! All you need to do is Like and Share the page and you're entered. Easy. *UPDATE THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW ENDED*

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Ophrys Skincare

If you have been following my blogs and social media you will have seen that I am currently partnering with Therapie Clinics and trying out their range of specialist facials to try and improve my skin. Alongside the facials (my second of which is coming up in April!) I have really tried to up my game with my skin care. Rather than just slapping everything that says hydration on I am really trying to target specific areas and problems. This has not been without it's troubles as my sensitive skin tries to adjust to this higher level of care. As a result of this - and a few other internal factors - I have been experiencing a few more breakouts than normal but I have been coping with them better. It's all about the give and take. And when it comes to the 'give' I was very lucky to be approached by Ophrys Skincare to talk about their new range of low molecular hyaluronic skincare with their patented Mini-Hax particle. "Low Ma-what?" I hear you say? Well... Low

The Ordinary by The Abnormal Beauty Company (or how I dipped my toe in to Deciem)

The Ordinary by the Abnormal Beauty Company ; If you haven't heard about this cult brand yet then you might not know they are hot shit right now and with their parent company, Deciem , being bought up by Estée Lauder they're only going to get bigger.   The internet has been a buzz for months now with beauty gurus far and wide raving about these high end products for low end prices. I couldn't believe it myself when I saw that there wasn't a product in the range that cost more than 8.00 quid!  So I joined the cult. I have to say that I was really impressed by the counter staff in House Of Fraser Belfast , they were friendly, knowledgeable and able to point me in the direction of the products I needed with just a short chat about my skin. I bought the Hyaluronic Acid 2% and the Niacinimide 10% Serums. If you have no idea what these mean then basically the Hyaluronic is for hydration and, whilst The Ordinary say that Niacinimide combats blemishes, I would actua
