Lidl Fashion A/W 15 - My favourite picks

Those of you with a good memory will remember that I absolutely loved the debut Lidl Fashion collection way back in March (gosh that six months went quickly didn't it?). You'll also remember that over the summer I picked up quite a few pieces from the collection including a dress, some leggings, a necklace, and two maxi skirts which I have been wearing and instagramming constantly. It was a definite success.

So of course I was excited to see what they had in store for their Autumn/Winter collection. I was not disappointed. The collection is full of on trend items which echo last winters success stories. There are several Blanket Capes, bright Parka coats, and lots of knitted Aztec & Leopard prints. There are items for all occasions from casual to work to nights out. One thing that really amazed me was that there are also proper Chelsea boots in the collection and they're only £12.99! I shall definitely be grabbing those.

As with the last collection you really have to make a date with your local store on a weekly basis (a great excuse to do your weekly shop) to make sure you don't miss out on an item. They have a small selection each week that hit the floors on a Thursday morning and they do not last long. In fact there's a stunning Leather Jacket (£14.99) in today's release and I'm having a hard time convincing myself not rush down straight after work.

In a continued experiment with YouTube and getting back into moving image I have pieced together a short look book of some of my favourite items from the collection as well as my usual photography.

Please let me know if you pick up anything from the collection as I love hearing about the bargains you get! I shall leave you with what I wore to the launch as I do love a chance to get in front of a full length mirror!

5 Autumn/Winter must have shades from Sleek Lip VIP

For a while Sleek Cosmetics have been the ones to beat for quality products with great pigmentation at great prices. Other brands may hit one or two of these points but in my opinion Sleek consistently hits them all.
In the past I've been a fan of their Pout Paint and their Matte Me lip laquers but oddly enough I've never dipped in to their actual lipsticks! More fool me.
I received this set of Sleek Lip VIP semi matte lipsticks at the Sleek Blogger Brunch I attended a few weeks ago (here's where I plug my snapchat again) those of watching my @Faeribex snaps will have seen what a fab day it was.

First impressions are positive. The colours are bang on trend for the upcoming Autumn/Winter seasons and there's a nice mix of girly, vampy, vintage and just plain gorgeous.  They apply feeling creamy and set to that semi matte finish slightly paler than when first applied.  For a full days wear I reapplied 3 or 4 times. Mealtimes will definitely do damage but I've yet to fi…

Faeriwood Eats: Six By Nico Belfast Review

Six By Nico. A new concept restaurant for Belfast, and a welcome addition to the cathedral quarter, brought to us from Edinburgh and Glasgow. 6 courses rotating every 6 weeks for only 28.00 and you’re going to want to keep up with them because once they’re gone, they’re gone.
With themes such as Vietnamese street food and Parisien cuisine, even a Disney theme being featured in their past menus I am looking forward to seeing what Nico and his team will come up with for Belfast. From talking to them though I found out that their first 3 menus will be inspired by Northern Ireland itself and with some of the best produce in the world and one of the most interesting cultures and histories that will be something to see!
First up is their debut menu, inspired by the humble chip shop, TheChippie menu takes the old standards and modernises them to levels you may be more used to seeing in Michelin level restaurants but with a very un-Michelin price point - this makes me very happy indeed.

Budget Beauty Brushes: are they really worth it?

I know what you're thinking. A second bargain beauty post in a row? Maybe switch it up eh? Ummmm nope. I love my premium makeup items, I really do. But I love finding a bargain beauty buy just as much, if not more.

Today I'm talking brushes. There seems to be an incredible range of brushes out there at the minute. Whether it's high end, mid range, or budget, there is something for everyone and there is usually a dupe (or shall we just call them copies?)
Today I'm looking at budget brushes including one of those infamous copies.

Unbranded EBay Brushes 7 piece set for 5.69

An obvious replica of the Real Techniques Precious Metal brushes and at first glance the only difference is that these don't have RT stamped on the side. The design, the colours, the shapes are exactly the same! I've never used the real Real Techniques ones but I'd have to say if I spent £30 or more on these I'd be hugely disappointed. Having only spent a fiver I'm really chuffed. The…
