No Halloween Costume Needed

It's become an accepted norm that once December 1st comes around the nations will don their snowflake print leggings and their novelty jumpers but so far the other seasons are lacking in their effort. Yes, Halloween is famous as being the single greatest costume day of the year but I need October to step and represent in the seasonal apparel game.

Thankfully retailers have heard my inner goth cry and have come up with some seriously cute Halloween inspired items. For those who love a slogan tee you have every variation of saying that could possibly be made by rhyming witch with bitch and if you don't say every one of with Emma Roberts' attitude then you need to watch season 3 of American Horror Story immediately!

Dressing with the seasons is clearly big money but it doesn't have to cost the world. Here are my choices of how to get into the Halloween spirit all under £30.

Boohoo
Starting with my favourites because I can! I actually bought the first two dresses and I'm serrrrriously considering the last one!

New Look

I need the Batkitty so much. I just need it!

H&M
The jumper is a cutout so not only will you be giving serious teeth you'll be giving good boob too... That makes me happy.

Pretty Little Things
I'm 100% not in the Pretty Little Things demographic but that dress has skeleton hands on the ass and boobs. I'm weirdly pleased by this blatant objectification.

Matcha Madness: The Body Shop Matcha Tea Face Mask Review

My name is Bex and I am a mask addict! I love masks. Cream, clay, mud, peeling, sheet, cellulose, nourishing... you name it and I love it! I recently spent an evening with the amazing staff from The Body Shop Belfast learning about all their key products and celebrating their cruelty free status and at the end of the night I was very kindly gifted their Japanese Matcha Tea pollution clearing mask - I was delighted!  We all know that the world has gone Matcha crazy but beyond an occasional frappe from a well known coffee house my main experiences have been with Matcha flavour cakes from my local asian supermarket. They are seriously amazing and the lightest sponge I've ever eaten but it doesn't exactly scream "good for you". Thankfully, apart from being seriously tasty Matcha is ridiculously good for you. Traditionally brewed as a simple green tea it is packed full of antioxidants - 10 times the amount in normal green teas as you are consuming the precious groun

Handbag Beauty Essentials For Winter

I'm not going to beat around the bush here, winter's a bitch when it comes to skin care. We are submitted to rain, icey winds, sleet, more rain, snow, did I mention rain? And then you step inside and the central heating kicks in making it even worse! Winter is a dick. So here are a few life savers that I have to have nearby.  Face Have I told you how much I love La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque? Yes. Several times! It's true though. I love it! If my skin needs some intense rescuing then hydraphase is my go to. I'll use an spf like this Ultrasun Face Cream too (because even in winter your skin needs light protection) but if I was stranded on a desert island I'd want a vat of the hydraphase.  Hands I can be quite obsessive about hand cream all year round but I become religious about it during winter. I'm currently switching between the Tony Moly Banana Hand Milk I picked up in Sephora (gosh I miss Paris) and the Neals Yard Bee Lovely h

Shazam! Movie Review

I’m living in a world where I’m still excited after coming out of a DC movie and, honestly, it’s about damn time! Having been frustrated with the recent Aquaman and Wonder Woman movies who were supposed to be game changers for DC but ended up delivering nothing but clichéd tropes, lazy joke writing, laughable CGI; albeit with a slightly lighter tone than their usual dark and dreary aesthetic. I was nervous about Shazam but ready to accept my usual “It’s a good mindless watch but needs more fun” opinion. For the most part my normal quibbles have been ironed out and the fun is plentiful! Shazam is packed full of genuinely funny jokes, there are true surprises in the story which, unless you’ve read the comics, you would have no clue from any of the promotional materials. Zachary Levi, who has long been one of my favourite cult/nerdy actors, brings his usual charisma and charm to the role and you have no issue believing that this is a 15 year old kid who is stoked to have these life chan
